Review to EGATEC 2024 – June 18th-19th in Hamburg
We look back to a great EGATEC2024, held from June, 18th to 19th, 2024, in Hamburg at the Atlantic Hotel, organized by MARCOGAZ and GERG – European Gas Research Group, supported by ERIG – European Research Institute for Gas and Energy Innovation AISBL, and hosted by DVGW (German Technical and Scientific Association for Gas and Water), Danish Gas Technology Centre and Gasunie.
This event brought together leading experts, high-level representatives from across the European gas industry, academic researchers and other key stakeholders to discuss innovative strategies and technologies within the gas sector, with a strong focus on the energy transition and decarbonization efforts.
We were impressed by the passion, the concentrated know-how and insights of the speakers, the young students and researchers and the dynamic topics and debates on how to make the hydrogen revolution possible without losing focus on the social, environmental and safety responsibility.
On day two the conference began with a spotlight on the poster presenter, where researchers had the chance to present and pitch their innovations on posters.
ERIG presented the DelHyVEHR project which was one of the eight out of 40 posters selected for presentation.
The inclusion of the DelHyVEHR project in the scientific poster exhibition marked its first official presentation since the start of the project.
This allowed us to share our initial objectives and outline the future direction of our work with the broader scientific and industrial community.
It was an exciting event of the gas and hydrogen community to further the dialogue on advancing gas technology and contributing to global sustainability goals.
